Happy birthday, Neena Gupta! There’s no one like her. The actress, at 62, is “defying age and breaking rules,” all this while having a whole lot of fun. If this isn’t life goals, we don’t know what is. On Neena Gupta‘s birthday, her daughter and celebrated fashion designer Masaba Gupta posted a special wish for the actress on social media and made her day. Sharing a stunning photo of Neena Gupta, Masaba highlighted some of the many qualities of the actress, among them – not caring about “what the world has to say.”
In her birthday wish for her mom, Masaba wrote: “Defying age, breaking rules and uninterested in what the world has to say…all while having a lot of fun! That’s Neena Gupta and it’s her birthday today. Happy birthday, Mom.”

Neena Gupta has raised Masaba, who was born to the actress and cricketer Viv Richards in 1989 – as a single mother. Neena and Viv Richards never married and she has talked about her struggles of “having a child outside marriage” in several interviews before.
Masaba Gupta is currently living with Neena Gupta and her husband, chartered accountant Vivek Mehra (whom the actress married in 2008), in their Mukteshwar home.
Neena Gupta had worked in films like Mandi, Utsav and Trikaal before she got pregnant. After her career came to a standstill, she made an impressive comeback with Ayushmann Khurrana’s Badhaai Ho.
Neena Gupta was last seen in Sardar Ka Grandson. She has a film titled Dial 100 and the second season of Masaba Masaba lined up.
