Comment on Pennsylvania Casinos Fined $145K, State Gaming Agency Teases Record Revenue by Dan Materna, Centre County, PA

Teased? Does this now mean that record Pennsylvania gaming revenue is suddenly a good thing? Is it something to tease about like inside knowledge of a chosen location for a future Super Bowl game? This teasing sounds like a fun thing, doesn’t it? How is this different than refinery companies teasing about upcoming record revenue reports due to rising gas prices nationwide? The increasingly soaring cost to fill a gas tank is certainly never applauded by drivers who now spend $60.00 or more to fill that gas tank. Why does the media apply a different standard to new record gaming revenue reports than it does to report the severe impact of record inflation? If more people gamble away more money than they can afford to lose, was every dollar wagered merely just part of their discretionary spending? Not hardly and not something to tease about.
