Improving tips life

  • Do not use abrasive surface to clean the tip
  • Use original JBC sponges; other sponges may contain substances that reduce tip life
  • Only use distilled water
  • Work always at the lowest possible temperature
  • To prevent the tip from oxidizing add fresh solder before putting the iron back in its stand
  • Always use the least aggressive fux possible
