In the state of Maharashtra, there are a total of 14 departments which offer scholarships to students who belong to different parts of society. The main 14 departments which offer scholarships are as follows:

  4. Directorate of Higher Education

Maharashtra Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:

The main purpose of the Maharashtra Government to introduce the scholarship is to help the segment of the society which is financially very backward and weak. All the students who belong to such a stratum of the society and are bound because of financial constraints, do not need to know put a rest on their career. The MahaDBT has 8 departments and every department provides several scholarships to the students to help them pursue higher studies.

 

1) Social Justice and Special Assistance Scholarships (SJSA):

  • The annual income of the family should be less than 2.5 Lakhs.
  • The student needs to be a domicile of Maharashtra
  • The students are needed to have passed SSC or equivalent metrics.

 

2) Tribal Development Department Scholarships 

  • Only students who belong to the ST category are eligible to apply.
  • The annual income of the family should be less than 2.5 Lakhs.
  • Only the student who has passed class 10th examination will be eligible.

 

3) Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) Scholarships

  • The student should be a domicile of Maharashtra
  • The annual income of the family should not exceed Rs. 8 lakhs.
  • The student should have had given all the semester exams and passed in them.

 

4) Director of Technical Education (DTE) Scholarships:

  • The student should be an Indian and domicile of Maharashtra.
  • The candidate can only be admitted through the Centralized Admission Process.
  • The annual income of the family should not exceed Rs. 8 lakhs.

 

5) Welfare Department Scholarships

  • The student should either belong to VJNT, OBC or SBC category.
  • The annual income of the family should not exceed Rs. 1 lakh.
  • The candidate can only be admitted through the Centralized Admission Process.

 

6) School Education and Sports Department Scholarship:

  • The candidate should have passed both class 11th and 12th.
  • The student must have scored minimum 60% marks in the SSC Exams.
  • Only SBC category of the students can apply.

 

7) Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) Scholarships:

  • The annual income of the family should not exceed Rs. 8 lakhs.
  • The parents of the student should be registered labors.
  • The student should have taken admission to various degrees such as MBBS, BDS, BHMS, etc.

 

8) Minority Development Department Scholarships

  • The student should be an Indian and domicile of Maharashtra.
  • The annual income of the family should not exceed Rs. 8 lakhs.
  • The students who belong to the Maharashtra state, and are studying out of Maharashtra will not be eligible for the scheme.

 

9) Students of Minority Communities Pursuing Higher and Professional Courses (DTE)

  • The student should be an Indian and domicile of Maharashtra.
  • The student should have passed SSC from the state of Maharashtra
  • The annual income of the family should not exceed Rs. 8 lakhs.

 

How To Apply MahaDBT Scholarship Form On mahadbtmahait.gov.in?

  1. The students need to first browse through the official website which is owned by Apple Sarkar DBT portal. https://mahadbtmahait.gov.in/
  2. Then the student needs to click on ‘New Applicant Registration’, for a brand-new application. MahaDBT
  3. The student needs to note down the Aadhar number and all the other necessary details.
  4. Once the relevant details are put, the details of the applicant will be automatically fetched from the UIDAI such as personal details, address, bank details, etc. MahaDBT Scholarship

  6. The student needs to click on the apply button and fill up the scholarship form.
  7. after that, click on the submit button.
