Red Rake Gaming expands regulated market reach; awarded Greek license

Online slot, video bingo, and video poker developer Red Rake Gaming has expanded its regulated market reach after being granted a license by the Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC). Securing the A2 Greek license will allow the firm to supply its top-level casino games to operators licensed in the newly regulated Greek market as it reinforces its commitment towards players and operators alike in the southeastern European country.

Explaining that “Greece has always been a very strong market for Red Rake Gaming,” the Valencia-headquartered developer says the license will enable it to continue to offer its content to licensed operators in Greece and continue to grow its presence in the marketplace.

Market success:

Using a company press release to comment on the approval, Managing Director for Red Rake Malta, Nick Barr, said…

“Greece has always been a very strong market for our content, demonstrated through our extensive client portfolio in the market.”

He added that the company continues to grow its regulated market reach and already has “more exciting markets lined up” for the fourth quarter of 2021 and the first quarter of 2022.

“We are looking forward to continuing our strong performance in the marketplace and delivering the best content for the Greek players, Barr said.

Existing content and build:

Thanks to the new license, Greek licensed operators will be able to access an array of Red Rake’s best performing, including its Super Series, comprising Super 12 Stars, Super 15 Stars and the most recent game to be launched in the record-breaking series, Super 20 Stars. The long-awaited video slot, which in addition to all the features from its predecessors, includes some new crystal symbols with impressive multipliers.

Furthermore, additional player-favorite titles such as the million-way-to-win, Alchemy Ways, Max Dangerous and the Lost Relics, Flamingo Paradise and Tommy Gun’s Vendetta will also be made available.

According to Red Rake, it will continue to grow the games portfolio for the market while focusing on Greek players specifically during development.

Greek market regulations:

In October 2020, the HGC opened the application process for Greece’s new online gaming licenses after the authorities passed new regulations the year prior. Then, on July 5, 2021, the Commission announced it had issued 15 online gambling licenses. They were the first permanent licenses issued since all forms of online gambling were banned by Greek authorities in 2002. Two types of licenses are offered by the commission; one for online betting and the other for all other iGaming activities.

The Spain-based developer’s growth strategy centers on delivery and expansion into regulated markets, with the latest entry representing further opportunity to extend its footprint in Greece and follows a series of new market entries.

BlueOcean tie-up:

Most recently, Red Rake joined BlueOcean Gaming’s GameHub, making its entire portfolio of more than 50 titles consisting of a variety of game types from slots, video bingos to roulette, video poker, and blackjack games, available with one single integration via GameHub game aggregator.

The developer’s content incorporates a variety of unique in-game features and promotional tools, such as Free Round Bonusing along with its Re-Play and progressive jackpot tournaments tools, which help to drive operator revenues.
